Reviews and Ratings
I stayed at Scandic Lillehammer Hotel for one night in one of the family rooms. The rooms, though a decent size with a comfy bed and free wifi, were actually below ground level, which made the view from the window not very appealing. The room seemed a bit worn and could have been better inspected for faults.
My stay at the hotel was an interesting experience. The rooms, despite being spacious and clean, were challenging to find in a maze of corridors and elevators, especially since mine was at the furthest and highest point of the building. The service provided was decent but not at a four-star level for Norwegian standards. On the upside, the location offered a mix of relaxing amenities such as saunas and hot tubs, and the hotel's proximity to various ski destinations was a plus. Dining options were varied and satisfactory, although not outstanding.
The hotel has its ups and downs. The rooms were dirty and worn down, with missing fixtures, but the size was just right for two people. The broken table tennis paddles left a bit to be desired.
The hotel had a great location within walking distance of the winter Olympics venue and a beautiful town. The rooms seemed a bit worn and were extremely hot due to the lack of AC, but they had two doors opening to the back. The service was nice but lacked basic information, and some arrangements were not ideal. The location was perfect for exploring the town and Olympic park, and the onsite facilities were in sync with a modern wellness area. Overall, a pleasant stay with some drawbacks.
